Mount Prau, Land Above The Cloud with Low Altitude

Mount Prau is not as high as any others mountain in Indonesia, but the view above was so pretty and if I made a rank from the prettiness among some mountains in Indonesia that I’ve hike, Mount Prau is in the 3rd rank after Mount Rinjani and Mount Semeru. Located In Dieng Central Java with the altitude is 2565 masl, not too high, so it’s recommended to hiked by newbie hiker (me also a newbie), it takes about 2,5 hours from Patak Banteng Village or 4–5 hours from Dieng Village with lower sloping. To reach there From Jakarta, we need to go to Purwokerto by Train and take 6 hours travel time, then ride minibus or online apps transportation from Purwokerto to Wonosobo for 2,5 hours.

Continue to Dieng for about 1 hours by other minibus and stop at Patak Banteng Basecamp, I prefer hike from Patak Banteng because less hiking time needed although the sloping is higher than Dieng Track. If you ride Motorcycle you can park at the basecamp. I went there on December 14th-15th 2018 with Janu-Buduk-Futbol and Aris.
