Merese Hill — Lombok Island, My Most Fav Place in Lombok to Escape From Routinity Activities

Lombok Island located in western side of Bali Island, in my mother country, Indonesia. Lombok divided into 4 sub territory, North Lombok, West Lombok, East Lombok, and Central Lombok. I also didn’t know why there is no South Lombok, hmm… anyway that’s not my business and to analyze what is the benefit it is separated into 5 territories is not my speciality also so let’s continue to see how the magnificent of Merese Hill are !

Since December 2019 to April 2020 I’ve visited almost 30 tourism place in lombok and till now Merese Hill is my most favourite place to escape from my routinity activities, yap sometimes I feel like so boring just repeating the similar activities as a private employee. Then I explore the island and found this place.

To reach top of Merese Hill you can park the vehicle downhill then walking to the top for 10 minutes.

From the top of Merese Hill your sight will be so freed. In the southern side you can see Hindia Ocean.

In the Eastern Side we can see Tanjung Aan Beach with its white sand

In Western Side we can see big area with full of green grass and small white sand beach downhill, you need to walk for 5 minutes more from top of the hill to reach there

And in the Northern Side if the sky is clear you can see Rinjani Mountain from the distance

Merese Hills is the best place in Lombok to enjoy Sunset,

but not limited in sunset time its also good to go there in the morning and you can see the fisherman do fishing in the sea.

If you want more adrenaline activities then you can try paragliding, means flying with parachute around the hill. I really want to try it also but still didn’t meet the right time, hmm not in hurry and let’s see another time.

Some local people also do selling handmade bracelets, necklaces, fresh coconut, etc. But prepare yourself, because some of the seller is selling their goods with pursuing so hard until you show your white flag, LOL. For me it’s a little bit annoying, but yaa that’s how they get income day by day and in the other side its nice also to enhance local people economic as long as the goods price is make sense.

Finally come to the end and it’s a necessary i thought to put Merese Hill into your bucket list if you go to Lombok.
